How do I compare ocean carriers on a lane?
Type an origin and destination as a port name or UN/LOCODE and press Compare. SchedulesMCP returns every carrier on that lane ranked by 90-day on-time reliability, with average and p90 delay, next departure, fastest transit, and the upcoming sailings, all in one view.
How is on-time reliability calculated?
It is computed live from observed port calls: each actual arrival is compared against the carrier's scheduled arrival, and the on-time percentage is the share that arrived on time over a rolling 90-day window. Numbers come only from real observations. Lanes with too few are flagged EARLY DATA rather than scored.
What does p90 delay mean?
The p90 (90th-percentile) delay is the delay that 90% of sailings stayed within: a worst-case view. A carrier can have a good average delay but a long p90, meaning that when it is late, it is very late. Comparing average and p90 side by side shows how consistent a carrier really is.
